The wide-eyed child surrendering
To moment’s pleasure ~ unweathered
Behold the wisest rendering
Of earthly beauty and whimsy
Yesterday
I questioned the reasons for the day
I picked out the best and pushed the rest away
The harder I tried to get away
The stronger the reasons were for me to stay
The twisting and turning right back in my face is the learning
I trust it’s all meant to be
Fool’s paradise, not for me
