Climate change is poised to dramatically alter Planet Earth Our oceans are at a heightened risk with the rise in temperature Marine species are under increased pressure every year It’s time for us to act More graces amongst us Less fences among us An end to greed A warning heeded A warning heeded Every square km of the earth’s oceans is affected by human activities More than 40% of the oceans show medium to very high impact threats More graces amongst us Less races among us Less need for speed A warning heeded A warning heeded Shh…lights in the water Some of the worst environmental problems are caused by destructive fishing practices Having devastating impacts on marine species and habitats More and more people Compete for less and less fish Only worsening the existing oceans crisis Every year, fishing nets kill up to 300,000 whales, porpoises and dolphins globally Bottom trawling destroys entire ancient deep-sea coral forests And other delicate eco systems On Planet Earth there is an urgent need to secure massive marine sanctuaries These will need to be heavily monitored for illegal fishing practices A warning heeded Shhh…lights in the water We’re overheated A warning heeded Shhh…lights in the water We’re overheated |
